Associate Professor Dr. Amjath Jamal Bin Shaik Abdul Kader, widely known as Dr. AJ, has over 25 years of professional experience in accounting, finance, and business management, with a distinguished career across both corporate and academic sectors. He is the President of the Asian Association of Certified Consultants and the Vice President of the Association of Certified Accountants (Malaysia). He is also a Certified HRDF Trainer and a recognized consultant specializing in financial management, business turnaround strategies, and corporate governance.
Dr. AJ began his career with the Perlis State Development Corporation, before moving to the German multinational B. Braun Medical Industries in Penang. He later served as Accounts Supervisor at Cement Industries of Malaysia Berhad (CIMA), and subsequently as Senior Finance Manager at Mahmood Security (M) Sdn. Bhd. in Kuala Lumpur. He also held the position of Treasurer (Bursar) at the Malaysian University of Science & Technology (MUST).
Academic Background
Dr. AJ earned his Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) and MBA in Finance from the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM). He also holds a Bachelor of Business from RMIT University, Melbourne, and a Diploma in Management from the Malaysian Institute of Management (MIM). Other than that, He is a Fellow of the Institute of Public Accountants (Australia) and a Fellow of the Institute of Financial Accountants (UK).
